This is a gorgeous powerful cheddar from the Mull of Kintyre Peninsula. It differs from a Somerset cheddar in that the taste is slightly more complex and the flavour lingers. It’s pale yellow paste has a moist texture and strong buttery flavour.   What’s it like? Mull Of Kintyre is an extremely tasty mature farmhouse cheddar with a long taste. Where’s it from? Made by the Campbeltown Creamery on the Kintyre Peninsula. Packaging: Sold as a 567g mini truckle encased in black wax.

Driftwood is made by Whitelake Cheeses, producers of Farleigh and Little Wallop, and goat’s cheese geniuses. This new cheese from them is made in the style of a St Maure but with a much more complex and more interesting taste. What’s it like taste? Driftwood’s beautiful texture strikes you immediately, then the taste of lemon with a gentle punch. It is an exquisite and top quality goat’s cheese. Where’s it from? Driftwood is produced by the masters at White Lake Cheeses in Bagborough, Somerset, a stones throw from the Glastonbury festival site. The goat’s milk is thermised and suitable for vegetarians.
